LINGO!!

every week, my teacher gives some topics and also the lingo.. here are the lingo i got from my class:

1. BLOG

= blog (n)
  : a web log, internet   journal
= blog (v)
  : to write on a blog
= blogger (n)
  : one who blogs
= post (v)
  : put something on the internet, to blog
= lingo (n)
  : a slang word or language
= link (n)
  : connecting words on webpages that lead to other webpages or more related information

2. HEROES

= characteristic trait (n)
  : parts of personality
= physical feature (n)
  : parts of the body
= heroine (n)  
  : female hero
= underdog (n)    
  : the little guy in the fight, usually being abused by the rich  or powerful

= winner (n)    
  : a person who wins
= loser (n)    
  : a person who loses
= quitter (n)       
  : a person who quits

3. MAPS

= globe (n)
  : a round map that looks like the earth
= atlas (n)
  : a world map
= compass (n)
  : an instrument that always points north; it's used to find your direction
= continents (n)
  : the 7 large areas of land that all countries in the world are found on
= nation (n)
  : a country; or a group that is made up of one people
